Ten to Infinity has been running for twelve weeks, during which time I’ve recommended sixty stories. I’ve been enjoying it and I hope you have too. Studying these classics, being forced to articulate why I like them, has been quite revealing.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to write new entries fast enough. These posts take longer to write than I was expecting, and I’ve gradually eroded my buffer away. I’d like to allot more time to them, but I’m also trying to increase the amount of time I spend writing my own short stories, and I ultimately can’t commit to such a busy update schedule anymore.

I am therefore cutting back to three posts a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday seems simplest. As before, I will still attempt to have the Friday story be freely available online.

In the meantime, today’s short story is ‘The Standard of Living’ by Dorothy Parker. Enjoy.
